| ||What things have gone wrong with the car?||The Legacy has limited performance upgrades because all the attention is on the WRX. Thank goodness there is a solution. http:|
| ||General comments?||Being married and without kids for the last 8 years allowed me the luxury to own a 2 seat sports car like the 3rd Generation RX-7. Loved the car, but entirely useless in the snow and even poor rain conditions.|
We're finally thinking about family and I wanted nothing to do with SUV's. The WRX is a great car but the back seats are poor. The Legacy platform is roomy inside, even more roomy than my old '88 Camry. The trunk is huge.
Performance is robust. I have the GT 2.5 sedan and it is sporty looking. The hood scoop draws good looks and the sedan is lower and has a more aggressive tire setup. I've driven the GT automatic, GT Wagon and the outback as well for comparison. If you want a sporty alternative, I recommend the 5 speed GT for the best engine performance. The suspension is Firm without being harsh (I prefer it a little firmer).
Drove the car a little aggressive in the rain, I was surprised at how surefooted the vehicle was.
0-40 acceleration is very good. Freeway passing is not as good, but I hope to fix this soon.
I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to upgrading the performance of the car.
| ||Previous car||Tested outback wagon, Limited Legacy GT wagon and Limited GT automatic. 5 speed is the best performance. The GT wagon drove nice, but the extra weight really drags the car down. Unless the room is abs||
